Westchase Soccer Association offers recreational programs in a fun, community environment. It provides an opportunity for children to develop life skills, discipline and respect while learning to play soccer.
Teams are co-ed and programs are open to players of all skill levels. WSA offers programs in the Spring and Fall.
Spring Soccer:
The Spring Soccer programs run from March to May for the U5-U14 age groups and April – May for the MiniWee. Games and MiniWee sessions will be held on Saturdays.
Fall Soccer:
The Fall Soccer programs run from September to November for the U5-U14 age groups and October – November for the MiniWee. Games and MiniWee sessions will be held on Saturdays.
Small-sided Soccer:
WSA feels small-sided soccer is best for the development of its players because it allows young players to touch the soccer ball more often and become more skillful with it.
This means soccer games with fewer players competing on a smaller sized field. These are fun games that involve the players more because fewer players are sharing one ball.
Most of WSA’s coaches are first-time coaches–parents with little free time. Small-sided soccer is a way to ease adults into coaching as well as to ease children into playing. Small-sided games help ensure children have fun and at the same time, maximize their learning opportunities. The “Small-Sided” environment is a fun, developmentally appropriate environment for young soccer players. It is recommended by US Youth Soccer.
