REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.
If you were unable to have someone register your child on your behalf, or you missed registration,
you may place your child on the WaitList by clicking below. Late registration fees are now in effect.

Refer to the Age Divisions chart, below, for eligibility.  Please review the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) page for important information about policies and commonly asked questions such as requests for children to play together, requests for specific coaches, Skills Assessment enquiries, etc. BEFORE you register your child.

*ENROLLMENT WILL BE LIMITED, due to available field space, volunteer resources (coaches, referees) and some age groups may be combined.  WSA is a volunteer organization and usually needs coaching resources in several age groups.   You can ensure your child is placed on an age-appropriate team if you submit a volunteer application to be a Head Coach.  Please refer to the Coaches' Corner page of the website for additional information about coaching and to view the coaching status.

If you will not  be available for the registration dates/times, you may send a friend or relative to register your child, please refer to the instructions further down on this page.   If you are unable to find someone to register your child on your behalf, WSA cannot accommodate requests for registration outside the opportunities listed above.  Phone calls or emails sent directly to volunteers and/or our general email address enquiring about additional opportunities for registration, will not receive a response.

WSA needs Head Coaches to run its programs; every team must have one Head Coach.  Enrollment will be limited if WSA does not have enough Head Coaches signed up by the final registration date.  Volunteer Application forms must be submitted for background checks so due to the time constraints and limited resources WSA may not be able to try to recruit coaches after Final registration so there may be no notification to parents if there is a shortage of Head coaches.  Emails enquiries regarding the status of the coaching situation will not receive a response.  Refunds will be sent to those affected, via mail.  If you are interested in coaching your child's team, please review the Frequently Asked Questions About Coaching.

(Pre-printed forms will be available for returning coaches)

If you will not  be available for the registration dates/times, you may send a friend or relative to register your child.  Provide them with the information required (see What is required for Registration, below) and give them a pair of the child’s shorts and a t-shirt to bring to registration for uniform sizing. WSA does not have the volunteer resources to accommodate requests for registration outside the opportunities listed above if you are unable to find someone to register your child on your behalf.  Due to the large volume of requests we receive, phone calls or emails sent directly to volunteers and/or our general email address enquiring about additional opportunities for registration, will not receive a response.

What is required for registration?  Click here for more information.

Legal Birth Certificate is required for all NEW and some returning participants.  Read important details below.

BIRTH CERTIFICATE REQUIRED:
We are required, for insurance purposes, to keep a copy of every participant's birth certificate on file.  This must be a legal birth certificate (please click link to see what is acceptable/not acceptable).  A copier may not be available so please be sure to bring the original
AND a legible photocopy of your child's birth certificate if they did not participate in a WSA program during the past year.  Registration will NOT be accepted unless you leave a legible photocopy of the birth certificate.  Unfortunately, due to the additional administration involved, we do not have the volunteer resources to accept faxing, dropping off or mailing of birth certificates after registration.

Pre-printed registration forms will be available for all returning participants from the past 12 months (past two seasons); a copy of the birth certificate is on file for these players so it will not be required for registration.

Please view Age Divisions for player eligibility BEFORE coming to registration:

Age divisions are based on the Florida Youth Soccer Association's cutoff date and will be in effect for one academic year (August - July).
This means participants in the Spring season will remain in the same age group as the past year's Fall season.

U5-U12 Programs:
We anticipate fielding Under 5, Under 6, Under 7, Under 8, Under 10 and Under 12 age groups providing there are sufficient volunteer coaches available. Some age groups may be combined like other leagues do (U5 participants may be placed in the U6 age group and U7 participants may be placed in the U8 age group)--if we do not have enough coaches to have separate U5, U6, U7 and U8 teams.  The fee for these age groups is $90.  New (and some returning) participants in the Under 7, Under 8, Under 10 and Under 12 age groups must participate in a 15-minute  mandatory Skills Assessment in order to complete registration--the date for Skills Assessment will be published on the Teams & Schedules page.  Please read the FAQ's regarding Skills Assessment before coming to registration. For safety reasons, children attending Skills Assessment sessions must wear soccer cleats and shin-guards in order to be allowed to participate. If you have a scheduling conflict with the Skills Assessment date, and your child will not be able to participate on that date, they will not be assigned to a team so we encourage you to register your child in one of the other three soccer leagues in the area.

Each participant will receive a uniform and a participation award at the end of the season.   Participants are required to wear shin-guards and soccer cleats for all soccer activities.  Games are played on Saturdays with one or two practices during the week.  The Under 5 and Under 6 teams usually practise once a week, whereas the U7, U8, U10 and U12 teams usually practise twice a week.  Practice days and times will be determined by the team's coach, based on their own personal schedule.   Therefore, WSA cannot provide schedules in advance of the season.  If your child is involved with other activities or you anticipate transportation/scheduling issues that may conflict with WSA activities, please note that requests for refunds or for players to be reassigned to teams will not be honored.  Field locations will be published on this website once they have been finalized--tentative locations for games (which will be held on Saturdays) are Westchase Recreation Center and Glencliff Park.  Tentative practice location is Glencliff Park.  WSA does NOT have access to a lit facility for evening practices.  The season is tentatively scheduled to begin in March and will end May 19.  Please refer to the Teams & Schedules page for season-specific information.
No refunds will be made for cancellations due to inclement weather, illnesses, injuries or other circumstances beyond our control.  Due to the up-front costs related to facilities, fields, equipment, uniforms, administration and insurance, etc., once a player is registered, no refunds will be issued after the refund deadline published on the website and payment made for one season cannot be credited/applied to another.

MiniWee Program:
T
his program will be offered as an introduction to soccer to children who are 3½ to 4½ years old by the cutoff date, NOT the date the program begins (see Age Divisions) .  The fee for this age group is $70.  The MiniWee program will run for 5 weeks and is tentatively scheduled to begin in April and will end May 12.   The sessions will be held on Saturdays only and will be approximately 45 minutes.   Participants are required to wear shin-guards and soccer cleats.

Volunteers are needed to assist with many non-coaching tasks, too!  Please click to view non-coaching Volunteer Opportunities and email us if you can volunteer:
